Wings, the game day dish. Wings and sports go together like peanut butter and jelly, Bonnie and Clyde, and Stockton and Malone. They just work together. Think of a world without wings to pair with game day festivities, we would be lost. There are so many great things about wings, but like any good writer in going to break it down in three parts.
1. You can eat it with your hands
Nothing better than that barbaric feeling of ripping apart your food and just indulging. Sure it’s a little messy, but generally you’re eating this delicacy in some bar or a smelly old couch in your friends basement so who cares if you look like you stuck your face in a pot of sauce. Plus when you finish you can lick all of that delicious sauce off your fingers.
2. Easy to share
Nobody really likes sharing, but everybody loves getting somebody else’s wings to get that different flavor moving around your mouth. You can buy boatloads for the boys too and just all dive in which allows you to snag some more than your friends if you eat with some speed, lowkey the move.
This aspect of wings is something you just can’t compete with. You got so many options these days when it comes to wings: levels of heat, teriyaki action, BBQ, dry rubs, and the list goes on. It seems like every time I go out I see a new wing pop up. I’m an old school guy with buffalo mild at the top of my list, followed by some honey BBQ.
